We should have a small quantity of pre-picked berries ready by mid-May, but we lost a lot of our early berries during the freeze on April 21. We covered all the berry patches to prepare for frost (to save as many flowers as possible)… but covers didn’t help much when the temperature dipped to 22-24 degrees!
Hopefully, the main part of the season will be in full swing by Memorial weekend. Weather can greatly affect the start and stop of strawberry season. We will post specific details as soon as possible,
