Strawberries coming soon!

Strawberries are looking great, much better than last year. The cool weather this upcoming week will slow the process somewhat, but hopefully there are no frost or freezing temps (like last year when many berries were lost). We should be starting to harvest in about two weeks. Currently there are a lot of flowers and some berries starting to form.

Squash and Cooking Pumpkins

We have transitioned to a smaller, self-serve Pumpkin Stand (cash only). Cooking pumpkins, squash and a few other pumpkins/gourds will available through Thanksgiving.

Replace canned pumpkin with tastier, fresh pumpkin. It’s easy to bake pumpkin halves in the oven, then scoop out the soft flesh to use in your favorite recipes, or try something new! I love to add pumpkin to my regular recipes for chili, sloppy joes, pancakes, etc. For more details, check out the Cooking a Pumpkin tab.

More Pumpkins!

We have pumpkins! The season is winding down, but we have a good selection remaining. (Picture shows the latest load to come in from the field.) This weekend marks the last days of full-service pumpkin adventures. After Sunday, the Pick-Your-Own patch closes and the pumpkin games will be put away. A smaller stand with some pumpkins, cooking pumpkins, and squash will remain available through Thanksgiving.

Thursday (10/29) – CLOSED, due to rain & mud

Friday & Saturday (10/30 & 10/31) – OPEN, 9:00am – 6:00pm

Sunday (11/1) -OPEN, 12:00pm – 5:00pm

Punkin Chunkin’ this Saturday (Oct 10)

This Saturday afternoon, October 10, starting around 12:00-12:30, the Smokin Lamas team will be firing pumpkins. Smokin Lamas hold the World Record in the human-powered centrifugal division, with a throw of 2368.5 ft.

Please park in the marked “Main Parking” area when watching the Punkin Chunkin’ and/or playing the various pumpkin games. The small parking area in our yard will be reserved for pumpkin purchase and loading. So, please pull into the “Loading Area” ONLY during the 10-15 minutes you are purchasing & loading pumpkins. (Pumpkin wagons are available to move pumpkins to your car, but only when your car is parked in the loading area.)

The Pumpkin Stand will be open 9:00am – 6:30pm. The Pick-Your-Own patch will be open all morning and intermittently during the afternoon. (The PYO patch must be closed during the firing of pumpkins!)

Be safe. Practice social distancing. Follow directions of the helpers at the farm. Be kind, and SMILE.

Pumpkin Stand Open Daily

The Pumpkin Stand and Pick-Your-Own patch are open daily. Monday through Saturday, 9:00am – 6:30pm; and Sunday 12:00pm – 5:00pm.

We have a wide variety of sizes and colors of pumpkins, mums, squash, gourds, straw bales, corn stalks, colored popcorn bunches, etc. all displayed in a large open area with lots of space to move around without large crowds. Extend your family fun time by engaging in the free pumpkin games.

Pumpkins are fun! Share the joy of Fall.
