This week we have lots of pre=picked strawberries available. Pick-Your-Own will MAYBE open this weekend… let’s see what the weather does this week. For the first time in over a year, we won’t be sold out by noon! Come on out.
Currently, open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday 9:30am to 6:00pm, while supplies last. (If berries are plentiful, we will add more days.)
We picked the first quart of strawberries last night for supper… strawberry shortcake. Yum! We expect to have a COUPLE quarts to sell on Saturday (May 22) and more next week, since the sunny warm weather is to continue. Hopefully, by next weekend lots of berries will be ready for pre-picked quarts. The pick-your-own fields will open in June.
OPENING DAY
Saturday (May 22), 10:00am – pre-picked quarts, $8 each… while supplies last
Next week: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday @ 10am, whiles supplies last
Strawberries are looking great, much better than last year. The cool weather this upcoming week will slow the process somewhat, but hopefully there are no frost or freezing temps (like last year when many berries were lost). We should be starting to harvest in about two weeks. Currently there are a lot of flowers and some berries starting to form.
Although the Stand is officially closed, we have a supply of spaghetti squash, butternut squash and pie pumpkins remaining. If interested in purchase, please call 610-593-5656 to arrange pick up (contactless if preferred.)
We have transitioned to a smaller, self-serve Pumpkin Stand (cash only). Cooking pumpkins, squash and a few other pumpkins/gourds will available through Thanksgiving.
Replace canned pumpkin with tastier, fresh pumpkin. It’s easy to bake pumpkin halves in the oven, then scoop out the soft flesh to use in your favorite recipes, or try something new! I love to add pumpkin to my regular recipes for chili, sloppy joes, pancakes, etc. For more details, check out the Cooking a Pumpkin tab.
We have pumpkins! The season is winding down, but we have a good selection remaining. (Picture shows the latest load to come in from the field.) This weekend marks the last days of full-service pumpkin adventures. After Sunday, the Pick-Your-Own patch closes and the pumpkin games will be put away. A smaller stand with some pumpkins, cooking pumpkins, and squash will remain available through Thanksgiving.

This Saturday afternoon, October 10, starting around 12:00-12:30, the Smokin Lamas team will be firing pumpkins. Smokin Lamas hold the World Record in the human-powered centrifugal division, with a throw of 2368.5 ft.

The small parking area in our yard will be reserved for pumpkin purchase and loading. So, please pull into the “Loading Area” ONLY during the 10-15 minutes you are purchasing & loading pumpkins. (Pumpkin wagons are available to move pumpkins to your car, but only when your car is parked in the loading area.)
