Peak Strawberry Week

This week is the peak of the strawberry season. Now is the time to think strawberries, especially if you plan to make jam, freeze berries for smoothies, etc. Please pre-order large quantities of pre-picked berries ($5/qt). PYO fields are open 8am-8pm if you prefer to pick your own ($2/lb).

“How much longer will the season last?” is a popular question. This week and next week for sure, then it will depend on the weather. Hopefully, we will have berries through the third week in June… but we don’t know now.

Curbside Service in Rain

During the rain (Thursday) we are offering curbside service for strawberry sales. $5 per quart. Open until 8pm.

Price Drop this week

The strawberry prices have dropped to regular-season prices of $5 per pre-picked quart and $2 per PYO pound. The season may be shorter than normal, but we hope for another 3+ weeks… don’t wait too long to get your strawberries.

Berries Despite Rain

Plenty of strawberries were picked before the rain started, so come on out. PYO field will be closed during the rain, but will reopen if the sun shines again.

Open Memorial Day – PYO too

Strawberries available today for your Memorial Day picnics. The first Pick-Your-Own (PYO) patch has started, so PYO official begins today. We will stay open as long as possible today, while supplies last or until 7pm, whichever comes first.

Strawberries -Sat, May 25

The strawberry stand is open for business today. We should have berries into the afternoon for a change! Cooler weather slowed production early this week, but today we have more berries.

The PYO patch is showing signs of ripening berries, so hopefully we can open PYO this coming weekend.

Shortages and Surpluses

Trying to balance supply and demand can be tough. Our patch needs a break so we won’t have any strawberries today Thursday, the 23rd. We will have strawberries tomorrow if we don’t have any hail this evening. Sorry for the inconvenience. Our later patches are showing some signs of life and hopefully they will be rolling by the weekend.

Strawberry weather has arrived

After a week of sometimes cool weather, strawberry weather has arrived. We will be open every day this week while supplies last. With a few more days and nights of warm weather we may be ready for “pick your own” by Memorial Day.
